The Bellevue College men’s basketball team will get a chance to top their NWAC runner-up finish from last year as the Bulldogs clinched a post season berth with a 91-72 win over visiting Shoreline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bellevue shot the lights out leading 41-19 at halftime. They were 17-for-34 from the field and put the burners on in the final three minutes of the half on a dunk by Sayerr Senghore, and a trio of three pointers from Senghore, Owen Moriarty, and Aydan Janssan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The closest Shoreline could get in the second half was 13 points as Prophet Johnson drilled home 22 points in the half on seven-of-eight shooting. Bellevue was even hotter in the second half converting on 62% from the field. The ‘dogs were consistent at the line as well draining 13-of-14. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Johnson had 30 points and six steals while Moriarty had 23 points. He was four-for-five from three point range as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bellevue will now play for seeding and placing in the North Region this Wednesday in their season finale March 1 at Olympic. Bellevue is currently in a three-way tie for second place in the North Region with one game to play. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
