Bellevue College women’s basketball had a see-saw game with visiting Shoreline, ultimately falling 72-64 at Courter Family Athletic Pavilion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bellevue appeared to be in control with a 35-28 lead at halftime, but let it slip away after the Dolphins went on a run to outscore BC 26-10 in the pivotal third quarter. Shoreline was 11-for-18 in the quarter and yanked down 14 rebounds while Bellevue managed four-for-16 shooting and had only three rebounds as ball control went Shoreline’s way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the fourth, trailing 54-45, the Dolphins stretched the lead to 13 at 63-50 with 5:20 to play. But the ‘dogs rallied back and cut the deficit to five on two occasions, once at 2:04 on a layup by Sahara Soufi and a second time with 1:02 left on the clock following a Kristina Blauman field goal. But after closing the margin both times, BC could not stop Shoreline and ultimately fell by eight in the closing seconds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Freshman Alicia Morrison led Bellevue with 17 points. She was three-for-five from three-point range. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
