Bellevue College women’s basketball held off a late charging Skagit Valley in a 52-48 win at Courter Family Athletic Pavilion. The Bulldogs nearly lost a 14-point lead with only two minutes to play in the fourth quarter, but were able to end Skagit’s threat with 32 seconds remaining and a six-point lead at 52-46.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bellevue took control of the game in the middle quarters and they outscored the Cardinals 30-17 heading into the final period. Skagit Valley went seven minutes in the third and managed only one point in the decisive quarter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bellevue had one of their most balanced games of the year in both players on the court and productivity as ten players scored with no player in double digits for any offensive category. The Bulldogs received 28 points from the bench and were led by Mckenna Morris and Mary Davis off the bench with seven apiece. Starter Jordyn Smith had seven as well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bellevue moves up to fourth place with the win at 4-3 in North Region play and 8-14 overall. They have a bye this Saturday and will begin the second round of games against teams in the region on Wed.
