Bellevue outscored the Rangers 19-4 in the first quarter to set the tone for what would be an easy win. Up 44-18 at halftime, BC’s offense kept going until finally Olympic was able to stay with the ‘dogs in a 19-18 final quarter.

In the opening quarter, Olympic was just 1-for-14 while BC got off 22 shots sinking nine of them. Jordyn Smith (6 points) and Kristina Blauman (7 points) led the way.

In the second quarter, Bellevue controlled the offense again outrebounding Olympic 17-5 and went to the long ball to extend the lead as Bellevue drained five three-pointers in the quarter. The shooting really got hot in the third as BC put down 10-of-15 from the field for 66% with five-of-nine from three point land.

Bellevue got off a whopping 77 shots including 35 three-pointers. The offensive spree was a balanced effort as all 11 players scored. Blauman led the way with 16 points, seven rebounds, and five assists in only 21 minutes of action, as Head Coach Mel Stubblefield was able to spread the minutes in the lopsided win.

Bellevue is 5-3 (9-14 overall) and in a comfortable position three games up on the fifth place team as squads enter the second round of play in the North Region. The top four teams qualify for post season. Bellevue’s next game is this Sat. Feb. 10 at Everett.
