The Bulldogs were no slouches themselves in the third, shooting at a hot 67% clip as well, but the Cardinals were able to get off 19 shots while BC managed just 12.

In the fourth, Bellevue made a run and closed the gap to just three at 86-83 after Devynn Warns made a layup, a quick steal, and second layup for a four point swing with a minute to go. The big blow was on Skagit Valley’s next possession as the Cardinals ran time off the clock, and got a huge second possession with an offensive rebound by Sarah Cook with 26 seconds remaining. Cook’s putback gave the Cards a five point cushion as a missed three point attempt put Bellevue into foul mode with 15 on the clock. Skagit’s Camryn Kerr sank both free throws after being intentionally fouled to seal the win for Skagit Valley.

Warns, in her final home game, tossed in a game-high 30 points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals; all team-highs for the game.

The Bellevue loss, coupled with a win by Olympic, puts Bellevue as the fourth seed from the North Region.
