The offense continued to be stale in the third quarter as BC managed only six points. The slow offense on both sides then flipped as the two combined for 51 fourth quarter points as BC tossed in 28 in a thrilling comeback effort. Aysha Peter, who was coming off a hot fourth quarter the previous night, continued her late game theatrics with a perfect three-for-three including two three pointers in the fourth.

Alexis Marcussen made a pair of free throws early in the fourth to give BC the lead 44-43. Seven lead changes would ensue in the final six minutes. Sophie Bronson nailed a key three pointer for the Eagles with 1:23 remaining to put NW up 63-60 before Lily Auelua countered for the ‘dogs with a field goal to pull Bellevue to within one. The Bulldogs could not capitalize on their next possession as Bronson delivered again with two clutch free throws to maintain the Eagles lead with only 18 seconds left.

The Bulldogs were led by Shannel Kovalsky who was eight-for-11 from the field for 16 points with seven rebounds; both team highs. Auelua came off the bench for a second night in a row with strong contributions offensively with 13 points.

The Bulldogs are 4-9 and will host Tacoma this Sat.
