Maddie Repp would drive her home to put the ‘dogs up 1-0. The outburst came in the third as BC plated 9 runs as Bellevue benefited from six free passes (walks or hit batters) and two wild pitches. Tierney laced a double which scored Avery Grutz and Maddie Zimprich. Tierney was 3-for-3 with 3 runs and 5 RBI’s while Allie Barashkoff was 4-for-4. Ava Jeretzky went the distance with 7 strikeouts in the circle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the nightcap Jeretzky had to come on in relief and delivered big time with three shutout innings after the Dolphins put a scare in Bellevue by leading 7-3 heading into the bottom of the third. BC’s bats responded with a six spot in the bottom frame then piled on another seven in the fifth to end the game early. Bellevue’s offense had a balanced attack as Aubree Orr and Jeretzky had three hits while Repp, Zimprich, and Ella Singer each had two. Jeretzky had a 2-RBI home run in the comeback third inning for Bellevue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bellevue is now 2-0 in North Region play and 10-6 overall. They face Olympic on Sat.
