Braeden Reese was 3-for-5 with 3 runs while Jaxon Fitzgerald had a 2-RBI double in the fourth. In game two, the Bulldogs again spotted Shoreline seven runs early on and tried to fight back from a 7-2 deficit. Reese had two doubles to continue his hot day at the plate while Orlando Young was 2-for-4 with 2 RBI’s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Will Woodward led BC’s comeback sweep on Sunday, striking out 7 while walking none before giving way to Alvin Chang who went three scoreless innings to record his first college save. Reese again was the hot bat going 3-for-5 with 4 RBI’s with a double and a triple. Ethan Sugimoto had three hits also. Bellevue showed tremendous grit in the weekend finale scoring one in the top of the ninth, down 4-3 then plated three runs in extra innings for the come-from-behind win. Johnny Hall doubled in the top of the ninth with one out and scored on a Caden Kennelly single to send the game into extra innings. Reliever Luke Thompson pitched a perfect bottom of the ninth to set the stage for Reese who again delivered with a double to score Sugimoto. Hall came up big again with a single to score Reese and Thoma Holden. Reese and Hall had three hits while Thompson picked up his first collegiate win. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ‘dogs are 13-9 in league (20-20 overall) and travel to face first place Everett this Sat.
