Sophomore Forward Jenny DeYoung was named Player of the Week in the NWAACC North Region after leading the Bulldogs to a 2-0 start in league play. A graduate of Redmond High School, DeYoung played a pivotal role in Bellevue\u2019s 87-84 double overtime victory at North Seattle Community College on January 6, nailing a three pointer to tie the game at the end of regulation, and putting BCC up for good at the end of the second overtime.<\/p>\n
In two victories last week, including Bellevue\u2019s 77-54 victory over Whatcom Community College on January 3rd, DeYoung totaled 28 points, 16 rebounds, 6 assists, and 5 steals. Her strong play throughout the season has been a key element of the Bulldogs\u2019 success, as the team is off to their best start ever at 12-1.<\/p>\n
