Bellevue then answered back with six runs over the next three innings for the win.

The big inning for Bellevue was the fourth when the ‘dogs regained the lead. Tinerra Adams led off with a single and was followed by a double by Cierra Barkis. Rachael Delamare then followed with a 3-run home run. It was her third home run of the year as she continues her stretch as BC’s top hitter with a .529 batting average.

Delamare ended the game with 3 RBI’s. Rayne Sylvester went 2-for-4 with 4 RBI’s while Alex Boyd went 2-for-3 with 3 runs scored and 3 RBI’s. Boyd hit a solo home run following Delamare. Her homer was her eighth of the year. Of Boyd’s 20 hits this season, eight have been for home runs as she and teammate Tessani Dixon (11 HR) continue to be two of the biggest power threats in the NWAC.

The Bulldogs broke open the nightcap with a six-run sixth inning, which included homers by Katy Sinn and Brianna Atwood.

Edmonds scored three runs in the fourth for a 3-1 lead, but the Bulldogs answered with three runs in the bottom half of the inning. The Tritons regained the lead with two runs in the fifth, but BC responded again with a run in the bottom half for a 5-all tie.

Atwood and Delamare drove in three runs apiece and Barkis banged out three hits to pace the 14-hit attack.

Freshman Payton Gibbs picked up the win in relief, allowing a pair of unearned runs in four innings.

Bellevue is now 2-0 in league and 18-3 overall.
