Associate in Arts Degree

The Business Technology Associate in Arts degree prepares students for a variety of technology positions in today’s digitally focused administrative and professional fields. After successful completion, students will be qualified for positions such as administrative assistant, web content manager, project coordinator, business office manager, office administrator, data entry specialist, account assistant, and executive office assistant. The curriculum includes introductory through advanced office software courses including spreadsheets and database reporting, business communication skills, digital literacy, business math, project management, digital marketing, creation of digital content, and proficiency in web development.

Business Technology courses are offered in a variety of formats including accelerated online (competency based), online, hybrid (partially online and in the classroom), and traditional classroom learning.

Certificate Programs

BTS certificate programs give students an opportunity to become computer and digitally literate, and gain competency working with the most current business software applications as applied in a business environment. Programs emphasize the technological changes occurring in the workforce, where employment opportunities increase dramatically for those who are computer competent and skilled in operating a variety of software applications with business skills. Instruction emphasizes business applications and skills as applied to technology. Credits earned in the certificate programs may be applied toward the Business Technology degree.

Gainful Employment Information

Federal regulations require academic institutions to disclose to prospective students certain information about the institution’s Gainful Employment (GE) Programs, and about students who enrolled in those programs eligible for Title IV funding that lead to gainful employment in a recognized occupation.  See the list of eligible certificates, but note that it may be out of date of current offerings.
