Yancy received her Ph.D. in Statistics and Applied Probability from the National University of Singapore. Her published research examined statistical approaches that improved the efficiency and accuracy of cancer screening methodologies. She also created models that enhanced data quality in the diagnostic realm and developed computer models that mapped out complex gene networks for predictive diagnostic classification. Yancy is quite pleased to return to the teaching profession where she started her career as a college mathematics lecturer. She enjoys traveling and fishing and lives in Bellevue with her husband and two children.
