Employers from private, public and non-profit sectors will be sharing their available jobs for 2021. A link will be emailed to those who registered to attend the fair a week before the fair.

Resume and Interview Strategies
EXPRL 220 Item# 6430 A 2 Credits
Learn how to create a winning resume and represent your best talents in interview situations. Guest speakers form local companies will tell you what they really want to see on resumes and hear about job interviews. Class will include practice interviews with company representatives. Must attend both weekends.
Late start class.

Social Media for Job Hunting Personal Branding
EXPRL 196 Item# 6353 HYAC 2 Credits
Students participate in reflections and hands-on activities to discover and articulate their strengths. They integrate that knowledge with their passions and experience to develop a personal brand. They use social media to create strengths-based profiles; explore practical strategies to make connections with employers, recruiters, and mentors; and articulate their personal brand
By the end of this course, successful students will be able to:
- Identify and articulate their strengths using the dependable strengths articulation process
- Create strengths-based social media profiles
- Develop an “elevator pitch,” a succinct summary of their strengths and experience, and deliver it in a polished fashion
- Apply effective job search strategies on multiple social media channels
- Apply networking strategies to make connections with industry professionals on social media
- Integrate their knowledge of their strengths, their passions, and their experience in order to develop a personal brand–and articulate that brand on a social media channel
Class meets on 4 days, 14 May, 15 May, 28 May and 29 May only.
