Unity Game Design and Development – Starting Winter Quarter

Game Design

The Seattle-Bellevue area is home to many companies that need Unity Developers and Game Designers. According to Burning Glass Technologies, “Professionals who have Unity skills earn over $20,000 more than their peers without Unity skills.” and “Unity is one of the most in-demand IT skills and has one of the highest forecasted growth rates at over 35% over the next two years.”

Whether you’re just getting started in your games industry career or have some experience, the Unity Developer certification can help your résumé stand out in a crowded field. Once you’re certified, you’ll receive a verifiable digital badge from Acclaim: An online credential that you can share with the world. Add it to your résumé, college application, website, or blog, put it in your email footer, or share it on social networks, such as Unity Connect, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter.

We are starting with the Unity Certified Developer course and then adding two more certifications. In total, we have 3 certification programs and you can sign up for one or all of them

  1. Unity Certified Developer
  2. Unity Certified 3D Artist
  3. Unity Certified Game Programmer

Content for all 3 certifications are supplied by Unity. The tracks all include competency-based hybrid curriculum, skill checks, exercises, game projects, capstone and exam prep. Certification exams are designed into the curriculum and exams are offered on-site through our PearsonVue testing center. When complete, you will be Unity certified! Each certificate is approximately 55-80 hours of in-class and online instruction.

In addition, Unity provides access to badges offered through Acclaim and fully vetted by Unity and Bellevue College Continuing Education.
