Our RN refresher program is for registered nurses who have not been actively practicing, have been working in nursing positions other than acute care, or need to reactivate their Washington State license
Please note: This program will NOT prepare you to take the NCLEX-RN. If you desire to take the NCLEX-RN and have already completed either the ADN Program or other nursing schooling, please contact the Washington State Department of Health for more information.
Content in the program includes up-to-date information on:
- Nursing Process
- Ethics and legal issues
- Mental health assessment
- The pathophysiology and management of common medical-surgical conditions
Other topics include but not limited to:
- Pain management
- Nutrition and Hydration
The skills review and clinical practicum provide opportunities to refresh nursing skills and to work with an instructor in an adult acute care setting. BC is a Washington State approved refresher program.
This program will have on campus in-the-classroom theory.
The RN Refresher course will start in September 2019. To register for the course, you must complete and submit the Fall 19 RNR Application and pay the $60 application fee by Friday, August 23. Accepted students will be notified by August 30 and if accepted, payment is due by September 6. Classes run every Tues/Thurs between 8:30 a.m. – 12:20 p.m. and 1:30 – 5:20 p.m.Information regarding lab and clinicals will be discussed at orientation, September 16.
