This 11- or 12-credit combined course prepares English-as-a-Second-Language students for credit courses by building reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar and writing skills. Students participate in writing work which coordinates with reading, speaking and listening activities. Plan to spend one hour in the Reading Lab during the first week of the quarter for orientation.
