Beth received her Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Seattle University in 2009 and became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington state in the summer of 2012. She also holds a BA in History and Secondary Education from Muhlenberg College and has over 15 years of instructional experience, teaching at both the secondary and post secondary levels. Beth also holds her Certified Personal Trainer credential through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and is Precision Nutrition Level 1 certified. Beth currently provides mental health and career counseling to registered students at BC as well as teaches a number of Human Development courses including Learning Strategies for Student Success, Living with Loss and Grief, and Motivation and Empowerment. Beth’s theoretical approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and she infuses physical wellness concepts into her counseling practices whenever possible. Beth currently resides in Seattle and when she isn’t at Bellevue College she can usually be found running, weightlifting, or walking her Pit bull, Hardy, trying to find new places for him to sniff.
