These projects can also help students strengthen skills in project management, collaborative software development, version control, and team workflows &#8211; providing practical experience to demonstrate their abilities to future employers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hackathons and open-source micro-internship opportunities<\/strong> allow students to gain additional experience in working in teams, problem solving, and apply their technical skills. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mock interviews<\/strong> allow students to practice articulating their skills, showcasing accomplishments, and demonstrating problem-solving abilities. Conducted in a simulated (mock) professional environment, they help students prepare for future job interviews. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Industry mentorships<\/strong> allow students to network with experienced professionals, ask questions, learn from their experiences, and gain insight into navigating the professional world.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tech-focused workshops, talks, and conferences<\/strong> allow students to expand their knowledge, learn about emerging trends, and build their professional network.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Regular one-on-one advising meetings with faculty<\/strong> allow students to receive guidance and support for their professional growth.
