The first thirty minutes will be spent on the presentation and the last 15 minutes will be dedicated to questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:31px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Apply for the BS in Computer Science<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p>The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science program admits students once per year for Fall quarter entry. This year, we piloted a small Winter quarter cohort, an option we may continue in future years. Most applicants who meet the minimum requirements are admitted. Follow the one that matches your situation.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:9px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>First-Year Applicants<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>For students who have completed 40 or fewer transferrable college credits, you will apply to the program as a &#8220;First-Year&#8221; applicant. First-Year applicants must be eligible to enroll in the following courses:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>MATH&amp; 151 Calculus I: Placement by assessment or MATH&amp; 142 with a C- or better, or AP score of 2 or higher on AB or BC exam.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ENGL&amp; 101 English Composition I: Placement by assessment or ENGL 092 or ENGL 093 with C- or better.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:9px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Transfer Applicants<\/strong> <em>(Most Common Option)<\/em><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>For students who have completed more than 40 transferrable college credits, you will apply to the program as a &#8220;Transfer&#8221; applicant. Transfer applicants must complete the following prerequisite courses (or their equivalents) with a minimum of C (2.0) grade in each course. Prerequisite courses may be in progress at the time of application but should be completed before Fall quarter starts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ENGL&amp; 101 English Composition I, <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MATH&amp; 151 Calculus I<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MATH&amp; 152 Calculus II<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CS 210 &#8211; Fundamentals of Computer Science I<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CS 211 &#8211; Fundamentals of Computer Science II<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5-6 credits of either PHYS 121, Biology with lab or Chemistry with lab<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Additional Note for Transfer Applicants:<\/em> If you\u2019ve completed coursework at another college or earned college credit through exam credits, please use BC&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/admissions-aid\/getting-started\/transfer\/equivalencies\/\">Transfer Evaluation System (TES) guide<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/admissions-aid\/getting-started\/transfer\/ap-ib-cambridge-exams\/\">exam credits chart<\/a> to check how your classes may transfer; Students who receive less than a C (2.0) grade in a prerequisite course may still apply, but preference will be given to students who meet the 2.0 grade requirement; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:9px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Post-Baccalaureate<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>Students who have already completed a bachelor\u2019s degree are eligible to apply under the Transfer Applicant option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:9px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>International Students: <\/strong>The BSCS is not a fully online program. Most courses include in-person or hybrid instruction, making the program eligible for F-1 international students. All international applicants must submit proof of English language proficiency as defined by the the International Education (IE) department&nbsp;by the application deadline.
