Rachel Wellman has spent most of her career in Higher Education with a focus on equity, inclusion, and social justice work. She started advocating for social justice when she was young and before ever learning the language of equity and inclusion. As a first generation college student, she was the first in her family to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree and the first to receive a Master’s degree. Seeing the impact education could have on both individuals and the larger community, Rachel focused her career on social justice in higher education eventually expanding to provide independent training and consulting for organizations. More than two decades later, she is still advocating for intentional integration of an equity lens into more than just practice, but in life.
