Professional STEM Mentors

Are you working in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math field? Do you have a disability? Would you like to make a difference in the college journey of a disabled STEM student?

Become a professional mentor with Disabled Students Navigating STEM. We need professional mentors who have experience navigating a STEM career while managing a disability – any disability. Your college and career experience can help someone else along their path!

Meet with a group of cohort program students quarterly or more frequently, depending on your availability, to answer questions and talk with them about what it’s like to be a disabled STEM professional. You decide the parameters, or, if you’re more comfortable, we can provide a template for your meetings.

If quarterly group meetings don’t fit your schedule, you can participate as a guest panelist or as a guest speaker on a topic of your choice. Our students are eager to hear from you!

Please fill out the Professional Mentor Form to volunteer or learn more!
