Welcome!
Congratulations! You have signed your contract to teach at Bellevue College and now you need to get your BC email and learn how to use your Canvas site as a Teacher.
Learn about a Teacher Role in Canvas
- Once you get a Bellevue College SID & PIN, create your BC email. Submit an ITS ticket if you have questions.
- Canvas is our LMS and you will need to know the basics. We have created a one hour optional Canvas Orientation.
- Send us an email and we will enroll you in the Faculty Canvas Orientation course.
- After you complete the quiz create a TDX Ticket and the Interactive eLearning department will create and add you to your Canvas Sandbox for testing Canvas content.
- For Bellevue College Staff, please create a TDX Ticket and the Interactive eLearning department will create and add you to your Canvas Sandbox for testing Canvas content. Staff will also be added in a Teacher role.
Note: We also have a Canvas 101: Teaching with Canvas course which is an in depth deep dive on all Canvas tools. We recommend that you register and complete Canvas 101, in your first quarter at Bellevue College.
Additional Information
All users with a Teacher/Assistant Teacher role in Canvas are required to complete the FERPA training.
