Each department within Connected Learning creatively empowers learners by providing equitable access to experiential courses, comprehensive learning resources, inclusive academic, career, and technology support, and unique opportunities for collaboration and community building. Canvas allows students to actively engage with course content, course instructors and their student community. The instructional content is delivered exclusively via distance education. Requirements for coming to campus for orientation, testing, or academic support services do not exclude a course from being classified as distance education.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hybrid<\/strong> courses replace some &#8211; but not all &#8211; classroom time with online learning. For example, a class that would originally meet five days a week might meet three days a week, and substitute online activities to replace the other two class sessions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Web-enhanced<\/strong> courses meet in regular class sessions, but use online resources for additional student-teacher and student-student interaction, posting of assignments, course materials, and student research.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/bellevuec.sharepoint.com\/sites\/instruction\/elearning\">eLearning Committee<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Role and purpose: <\/strong>Provide guidance and expertise necessary to develop a rich and rigorous eLearning ecosystem that produces a consistent, cohesive, quality learning experience for students; examine innovative eLearning models and initiatives, based on the most current national and local eLearning trends; and ensure the eLearning direction is directly linked to the Vision, Core Values, Mission, and Core Themes of the college.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Council Alignment: Constituency Councils &#8211; Faculty: <\/strong>The membership term is for three years. The committee meets once a month. We have teaching and non-teaching positions. eLearning Committee members can be either part-time or full-time faculty\/employees. All new applications are reviewed by the Interactive eLearning Director and the Faculty Council members. New members will notify their Program Chairs, Divisions and their Deans of their selection to serve on the eLearning Committee. eLearning Committee member&nbsp;selection is based on the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Teaching members:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Experience with online and\/or hybrid teaching<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrated interest in online pedagogy and instructional technology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrated interest in participating in professional development that pertains to online learning and technology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Non-teaching members:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Demonstrated experience using educational technology for online learning and teaching<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrated interest in participating in professional development that pertains to online learning and technology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Meeting Time: <\/strong>The eLearning Committee meets once a month on the third Tuesday of the month from 3 p.m. &#8211; 4 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vision eLearning expands access to education options and pathways for students through quality online, hybrid, and web-enhanced courses by embracing innovative and accessible modes of course development and delivery.
