This page will introduce you to the new interface and provide you with information and resources to make the most of this exciting update and get you up and running with the new sidebar.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mayflower-blocks-alert alert alert-info\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-bc-dark-blue-color has-text-color\">What you need to know:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The new DesignPLUS Sidebar launched on Nov. 7, 2023<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The new sidebar is more intuitive and user-friendly<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can continue using the current (legacy) interface until Dec. 31, 2025<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cidi Labs provides excellent training resources for the new sidebar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>BC&#8217;s Interactive eLearning department offers customized resources and in-person training<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left has-bc-dark-blue-color has-text-color\">How would you like to move forward?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mayflower-blocks-panel card bg-primary text-white\"><h5 class=\"card-header\">I wish to continue using the current (legacy) Cidi Labs interface (Design Tools)<\/h5><div class=\"card-body bg-light text-dark\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-bc-dark-blue-color has-text-color\"><strong>How to Switch Versions<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The new DesignPLUS sidebar is will be the default interface after December 2025. We recommend switching to the new sidebar as it&#8217;s more intuitive to use and less buggy than the previous version. However, if you would rather continue to design content using the legacy sidebar, you can use a hotkey from anywhere inside the course where you want to toggle the sidebar:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Mac:<\/strong> shift + option + V<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>PC:<\/strong> shift + alt + V<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mayflower-blocks-panel card bg-primary text-white\"><h5 class=\"card-header\">I have used Cidi Labs and need to update my content to the new sidebar (DesignPLUS)<\/h5><div class=\"card-body bg-light text-dark\">\n<p>Legacy content will display normally even if you&#8217;re using DesignPLUS, but you must upgrade the content if you want to edit it with the new sidebar. You will be prompted to do this inside the sidebar panel.
