These badges are easily displayed on social media and other platforms. Canvas offers an integrated digital badging tool known as Canvas Credentials (formerly Badgr), making it convenient to manage and display these achievements. Find and enable <strong>Credentials<\/strong>. Be sure to save!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 2:<\/strong>  Log into&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/bellevuecollege.badgr.com\/public\/issuers\/cgUhKey3Rr-yoq_BVBELEQ\/badges\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Canvas Credentials (Badger)<\/a>. You may need to register before being able to sign in. This is not linked to your Single Sign On (SSO) but you should <strong>use your Bellevue College email address to register<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mayflower-blocks-panel card bg-default\"><h2 class=\"card-header\">Creating an Issuer<\/h2><div class=\"card-body\">\n<p>To set up badging in a Canvas course, you must create an <strong>Issuer <\/strong>on the Canvas Credentials (Badgr) site. This Issuer will be personal and not tied to the college. The Issuer information will appear on the Issuer\u2019s public page and be part of each badge awarded by this Issuer. Keep in mind that recipients can share badges publicly, so choosing a descriptive name is important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important Notes:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Include Bellevue College in your Issuer name so that students can easily identify course badges awarded by Bellevue College instructors. <em>For example: Prof. Olson &#8211; Bellevue College<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For the Issuer URL, consider using a website that highlights your status as an instructor. Suitable options include your department&#8217;s faculty and staff page, the campus directory, or your LinkedIn profile.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> Please follow the steps provided by <a href=\"https:\/\/community.canvaslms.com\/t5\/Canvas-Badges-Credentials\/How-do-I-create-or-add-an-issuer-in-Canvas-Badges-or-Canvas\/ta-p\/528723\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/community.canvaslms.com\/t5\/Canvas-Badges-Credentials\/How-do-I-create-or-add-an-issuer-in-Canvas-Badges-or-Canvas\/ta-p\/528723\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Instructure | Community<\/a> to set up a Personal Issuer in Canvas Credentials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> Proceed to your Canvas course. Select <strong>Credentials <\/strong>on your left-hand course navigation in Canvas. Enter your email and receive a verification code. Choose your Personal Issuer and choose <strong>select issuer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mayflower-blocks-alert alert alert-info\">\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> When adding a badge to a Canvas course, a <strong>Group <\/strong>consisting of the students enrolled in your course is created. We recommend setting the Group&#8217;s expiration date to the course completion date.
