published\u00a0on\u00a0the Bellevue College\u00a0Academic Calendar.<\/p>\n\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\t\n<div\n\tclass=\"tab-pane Term<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-mayflower-blocks-lead lead\">A Canvas\u00a0Term is\u00a0determined\u00a0by start and end dates built for a named Term within Canvas.\u00a0At Bellevue College,\u00a0Canvas terms are built with a\u00a0Start\u00a0Date that is\u00a0five\u00a0weekdays prior to the\u00a0Academic\u00a0Term and\u00a0an\u00a0End\u00a0Date that is on the same day that finals are due.<\/p>\n\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\t\n<div\n\tclass=\"tab-pane class=\"accordion-body\">\n\t\t\t<h3 class=\"d-none d-md-block\">Course Participation<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-mayflower-blocks-lead lead\">Course\u00a0Participation is\u00a0a Canvas term and is\u00a0defined by the period when a user (student or instructor) has an\u00a0<strong>active\u00a0<\/strong>enrollment in a course (can both view and interact with the content).\u00a0At Bellevue College,\u00a0Course\u00a0Participation is set to &#8220;Term&#8221; by an Admin setting and is not editable by instructors.\u00a0Course Participation dates are created at the time of course creation.<\/p>\n\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"accordion-section-wrapper section section-xlight\">\n\t<div class=\"container-xl\">\n\t\t<div class=\"row\">\n\t\t\t\n<div class=\"accordion-section-content col-md-8\">\n\t<div class=\"accordion-section-heading\">\n\t\t<h2>Active and Concluded Course States<\/h2>\n\t\t\n\t<\/div>\n\t\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mayflower-blocks-collapsibles accordion\" id=\"accordion_9afb26df-6334-42d3-9751-10ae159a8749\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-mayflower-blocks-collapse accordion-item\"><h3 class=\"accordion-header mb-0\" class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While a CourseWhile a course is&nbsp;<strong>active<\/strong>, students can view and&nbsp;submit&nbsp;assignments and quizzes, respond to discussions and announcements, and interact with other&nbsp;students and the instructor\/s in the&nbsp;course via the Canvas Inbox.&nbsp;&nbsp;Instructors can view, create, and edit content,&nbsp;assignments, and quizzes,&nbsp;grade and make grade changes, and message students via the Canvas Inbox.&nbsp;Both students and instructors can favorite any&nbsp;<strong>active&nbsp;<\/strong>course so that it&nbsp;remains&nbsp;on their Canvas dashboard. Is Concluded<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mayflower-blocks-collapse accordion-item\"><h3 class=\"accordion-header mb-0\" id=\"heading_0b6576c5-80d3-4f79-8c22-a98ff3959c14\"><button class=\"accordion-button bg-default text-bg-default\n\t\t collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#collapse_0b6576c5-80d3-4f79-8c22-a98ff3959c14\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"collapse_0b6576c5-80d3-4f79-8c22-a98ff3959c14\">While a Course Is Concluded<\/button><\/h3><div id=\"collapse_0b6576c5-80d3-4f79-8c22-a98ff3959c14\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse \" aria-labelledby=\"heading_0b6576c5-80d3-4f79-8c22-a98ff3959c14\" data-parent=\"#accordion_9afb26df-6334-42d3-9751-10ae159a8749\" data-bs-parent=\"#accordion_9afb26df-6334-42d3-9751-10ae159a8749\"><div class=\"accordion-body bg-default text-bg-default\n\t\t\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Concluded&nbsp;<\/strong>courses are automatically removed from the user\u2019s dashboard unless the course was previously&nbsp;favorited.&nbsp;<strong>Concluded&nbsp;<\/strong>courses are automatically removed from the&nbsp;Compose area of&nbsp;Canvas&nbsp;Inbox.&nbsp;Instructors will need to use an alternative to Canvas Inbox&nbsp;for communicating with students in a concluded course.&nbsp;Because concluded courses are not editable by instructors after the instructor conclude date, instructors are&nbsp;advised to make&nbsp;final&nbsp;changes to their Canvas shells&nbsp;at the end of the quarter and before&nbsp;they&nbsp;lose editing access.&nbsp;For incompletes, instructors are&nbsp;advised to submit&nbsp;an incomplete request with&nbsp;ITS.&nbsp;Instructors are able to course copy concluded courses.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mayflower-blocks-collapse
