Teachers have all course-level permissions, including the ability to Add, Edit and Delete all content in a course; Edit course settings. The Teacher role is created in ctcLink. We cannot manually add the Teacher role, this is done at the division level. Teachers can access future or earlier courses with the same abilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Teacher role is assigned by the Division Dean, or the Office of Academic Affairs as this is an automated process. The Teacher\u2019s role applies to everyone within the course. EvalKit is used for the Teacher role.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\t\n<div\n\tclass=\"tab-pane  accordion-item\"\n\tid=\"associate-teacher-content\"\n\trole=\"tabpanel\"\n\taria-labelledby=\"associate-teacher-tab\"\n>\n\t<h3 class=\"accordion-header d-md-none\" id=\"associate-teacher-acc-header\">\n\t\t<button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#associate-teacher-acc-content\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"associate-teacher-acc-content\">\n\t\t\tAssociate Teacher\n\t\t<\/button>\n\t<\/h3>\n\t<div id=\"associate-teacher-acc-content\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse d-md-block\" aria-labelledby=\"associate-teacher-acc-header\" data-bs-parent=\"#tabcordion-dcd20fd8-0650-4b0b-8bfe-7248684b1ac7\">\n\t\t<div class=\"accordion-body\">\n\t\t\t<h3 class=\"d-none d-md-block\">Associate Teacher<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The\u00a0Associate Teacher role has the same permissions as the Teacher role. Associate Teachers have all course-level permissions, including the ability to Add, Edit, and Delete all content in a course; Edit course settings.\u00a0An Associate Teacher role is added manually with a request by the Teacher; The Teachers approval is required. Send a request to manually add individuals with active Canvas user accounts via a TDX ticket. Remember to Login into the ticketing system to use the Canvas Roles Add or Remove Request form.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The&nbsp;Associate Teacher role&nbsp;is assigned by creating a&nbsp;TDX ticket.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The request must be submitted by the course owner, who is the Teacher. In cases where the instructor is unavailable to make their own request a Dean or the Office of Academic Affairs can make this request.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only the course owner, the Teacher can request someone to be added to a course that has ended. Librarians support research projects\/capstones including resources, copyright, and plagiarism tips. Librarians recommend a variety of informational materials, digital resources, research guides, and database navigation. This role can Add, Edit, and Delete events on the course calendar; Manage course content; Create and Edit assessing rubrics; Manage [Add\/Edit\/Remove] assignments and quizzes, course files, and groups. Class Assistants cannot be students in the course. CAs must have either already completed the course or be unlikely to take it in the future. This role is automatically assigned.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Student role is assigned at course Registration completion. The Student role applies to everyone within the course.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Note<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Student role cannot view a course until the Start Date\/Time and the course are Published.
