What is Quality Matters?<\/h2>\n

Quality Matters (QM) is a non-profit organization which is dedicated to improving the quality of online course design. Though QM has established a multi-faceted process for assuring the quality of online courses, the best place to begin is with the QM Rubric. Based upon research-supported and published best practices for online learning, the QM Rubric is a set of standards by which to evaluate the design of hybrid and online courses. The QM Rubric is organized around eight General Standards:<\/p>\n

  2. Learning Objectives (Competencies)<\/li>\n
  3. Assessment and Measurement<\/li>\n
  4. Instructional Materials<\/li>\n
  5. Course Activities and Learner Interaction<\/li>\n

  7. Learner Support<\/li>\n
  8. Accessibility and Usability<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
