eLearning is an online alternative to a traditional classroom learning experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is eLearning?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Although it goes by different names, we typically refer to it as “eLearning.” eLearning typically involves using the internet – alone or with other technologies – to teach or take a course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

eLearning at Bellevue College encompasses all online and hybrid courses, and the use of Canvas, our Learning Management System (LMS). Bellevue College offers classes and even entire programs via an elearning format. Our programs include online associate degrees, bachelor\u2019s degrees, and certificates.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

How Does eLearning Work at Bellevue College?<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n

In an online course, your instruction is delivered via Canvas, the Bellevue College Learning Management System, rather than in a face-to-face classroom. Think of Canvas as a virtual classroom. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

Class Attendance <\/h3>\n<\/div>\n\n
\n

At Bellevue College, instructors set their own attendance standards. For online courses, logging into the class, participating in discussions, and submitting assignments are usually considered \u201cattendance.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

You must log in to your online class on the first day of the quarter or let your instructor know on or before the first day if you cannot \u201cattend\u201d class. Your instructor may request that Student Central withdraw you from the course if you fail to log in. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
