after the waitlist closes and you are taking online or hybrid courses, fill out and submit the online\/hybrid late enrollment petition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the instructor grants you permission, follow the late enrollment petition procedure to enroll in the course as follows:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&nbsp;To see if you are enrolled in the course you must check your BC email and your class schedule frequently (morning, afternoon, and evening).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Why is it important to frequently check your BC email and your class schedule? You will be notified if you are enrolled in the course and you will need to pay your tuition the same day the college enrolls you in the course! Note: some classes may require proctored exams. The instructor will post information for you on how to take the exam from a distance if you cannot attend the campus exam session. These courses will be designated on the class schedule with sections OAS, OBS, OCS, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hybrid courses are part online and part on campus. Hybrid classes often meet on campus more than one day per week. The rest of your work is completed online via Canvas, our learning management system. These courses will be designated on the class schedule with sections HYA, HYB, HYC, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In-Person courses are taught entirely on campus. The instructor will post information for you on Canvas, our learning management system. Posts may include the syllabus and handouts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Synchronous classes meet at a specific time, usually every day, or multiple times a week.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Asynchronous classes involve learning on your own; you will watch lectures, do readings, etc. on your own schedule. After the first week, you should get a feel for how much time you will actually have to be logged in to the class site versus how much time you will spend doing work offline, i.e. reading the textbook, etc. In this case, you can log in when it is convenient for you, as long as you meet all assignment and testing deadlines.
