Olutoyin (Toyin) Adeyemi was born in Seattle, WA to immigrants of Nigerian (Yoruba) descent. In 2015, she earned an M.F.A from the School of the Arts at Columbia University in New York, NY. Her subjects of interest and teaching specialties include post-colonial and migrant literature, modern/postmodern American fiction, poetry, writing pedagogy, mixed genre storytelling, and experimental film.
