Facilitated by Christina Sciabarra (Center for Career Connections and Social Science) and Rachel Wellman (Title IX), this book club is designed to allow faculty to read about, reflect on and discuss the concept of “white fragility.\u201d Faculty from all disciplines are welcome as we will discuss the different ways in which the discomfort of talking about racism comes forward in our work and can derail the learning of others. Participants will come away from this book club with a plan for addressing white fragility in their own lives, in the classroom or with students in general.<\/p>\n
