4 Mondays January 26, February 2, 9 & 23 from 2:30pm-4:00pm\u202f on Zoom<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This workshop is designed specifically to foster grass roots, bottom up collaborative discussions around critical thinking and metacognitive skills around AI tools and their impact on classroom experiences. There should be a sense of urgency about supporting the greater college community\u2019s needs as the AI wave is cresting irresistibly, and many are struggling to keep up with the implications and actualities involved in the tectonic shifts it brings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This workshop is designed specifically to foster grass roots, bottom up collaborative discussions around critical thinking and metacognitive skills around AI tools and their impact on classroom experiences. There should be a sense of urgency about supporting the greater college community\u2019s needs as the AI wave is cresting irresistibly, and many are struggling to keep up with the implications and actualities involved in the tectonic shifts it brings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its strength is in offering an active interdisciplinary listening space for attendees to present, discuss and explore the issues most relevant to their specific disciplinary concerns in dealing with how AI has changed their workplaces.\u202f The workshop is intended to support cross departmental collaboration through open discussion and hands-on activities that explore methods addressing AI classroom concerns both common and exclusive to faculty in all departments.\u202f\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of particular interest is collaboration on an overarching, unified institutional strategy of collective values to engage or not.\u202f And for those who engage, what are the most appropriate engagement models for each particular classroom situation?\u202f At best this undertaking should be done in concert with an AI Task Force to support faculty issues.\u202f\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This workshop is a specific outgrowth of an ongoing SBT meeting group that has been taking place since Memorial Day 2025 through August 13th<\/em>, peaking at nearly 20 people during Spring quarter tapering off to six to four regulars during the Summer quarter.\u202f The entire college community stands to benefit by expanding this space of listening and collaboration to all departments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

10 PD Hours and $300 stipend\u202f<\/strong>for attending at least 3 of the 4 sessions (one of which must be the final session), completing required assignments, and submitting the final deliverables <\/p>\n\n\n\n
