Every educator and leader brings unique experiences, values, and strengths that shape how we teach, serve, and inspire others. This interactive workshop invites educators, staff, and leaders to embark on a journey of self-discovery, reflection, and connection. Through the Dependable Strengths Articulation Process (DSAP), participants will uncover and articulate the strengths that shape who they are as educators and leaders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DSAP is a peer-supported, experiential process that creates a meaningful space for colleagues to learn from one another, celebrate individual contributions, and build a stronger sense of belonging – making it especially valuable for those navigating transitions in life, career, or work. Through guided reflection, storytelling, and collaborative experiential learning activities, participants will develop greater self-awareness, confidence, and clarity in how they show up as mentors, advocates, and leaders within their campus communities. Whether you’re stepping into a new role, redefining your path, or simply seeking renewed clarity and direction, this workshop offers grounding, connection, and community for the journey ahead.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants will practice articulating their strengths and develop their personal branding through storytelling\u2014skills that enhance career development and professional growth. This workshop is more than a journey of self-discovery\u2014it is an opportunity to build relationships, foster belonging, and create a community of educators and leaders who lift one another up. When we understand and honor who we are, we are better equipped to care for ourselves, empower others, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students and colleagues.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This workshop meets in person for three connected sessions on November 4, November 18, and December 2<\/strong>. Since each session builds on the last, participants must commit to attending all three\u2014there is no online component and no partial attendance. Facilitated by Chiew Jones.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chiew\u2019s Bio :<\/em><\/strong> Chiew Jones brings more than 25 years of leadership experience\u2014spanning venture capital, international marketing, nonprofit management, and over a decade in higher education\u2014to her work as a strengths-based leadership and career development leader. As the founder of her own coaching and training practice, she empowers women to maximize their potential through a strengths-based approach to leadership. She currently serves as an Associate Adjunct Professor at Bellevue College, teaching career development & personal branding courses and holds certifications as a Dependable Strengths Facilitator, Gallup Strengths Global Coach, MBTI Practitioner and Professional Coach. Chiew brings a blend of cross-sector experience, academic insight, and a deep grounding in experiential learning design to every workshop she leads. She co-founded the Womxn of Color Mentoring Circle, an affinity group dedicated to fostering belonging and advancing leadership among faculty and staff of color at Bellevue College<\/em>. She cohosts the We Rise podcast for immigrant women and finds joy in choir singing and exploring global cuisines with her husband.<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n
