Bellevue College Library Media Center
As an HSEWI student, the Library Media Center is your one-stop shop for research. With your Bellevue College username, you can access dozens of databases online or thousands of print materials in-person. Most of your library research will be done using the online database, so get familiar with how to navigate and search for the articles, books, and documents you need.
HSEWI is lucky enough to have a liaison librarian, Lisa Lapointe, so reach out to her with your research or library needs. Lisa is also the undergraduate research librarian, so if you are a part of a BAS program, she can help you with course research, capstone projects, etc.
Take a quick moment to orient yourself with the Library’s website, navigation tools, and resources.
Searching the Databases
As an HSEWI student, you’ll be using the research tools of the BC Library often, so familiarize yourself with the Library’s databases, how to search for texts, and how to differentiate between acceptable and unacceptable sources.
