Dr. Casserly began serving as Program Chair of the History department in 2022. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Washington in 2007. He earned his PhD from Marquette University in 2017, where his dissertation,\u00a0Transmitting Revolution: Radio, Rumor, and the 1953 East German Uprising,\u00a0considered how a national\u00a0rebellion\u00a0became thinkable in a dictatorial state. She is an assistant professor of History at Hood College in Maryland. After Dr. Doan earned a B.A. in Psychology, he completed his Ph.D. in History from Temple University in Philadelphia. At Bellevue, she teaches general U.S. history courses along with developmental math classes. Prior to moving to the Pacific Northwest, she taught courses in U.S women\u2019s history, U.S. religious history, and African-American history in Utah, Virginia and Oregon.
