It helps ensure that when we use terms such as school, department, academic program, leadership team, or strategic priority, we mean the same thing. A shared language makes it easier to communicate clearly, understand roles and responsibilities, organize information consistently, and make evidence-informed decisions. It also supports effective governance, institutional planning, accreditation, and collaboration across divisions.
