Reading Your Textbook Workshop (Hybrid) (Thursday, September 29 at 1:30pm-2:30pm) 

Have you ever had trouble getting through your textbook? Come and practice strategies that will help you connect, understand, and remember the information you read. In addition, you will learn ways to manage the time you spend on your reading. The tips you learn in this workshop come from both reading experts and fellow students who have shared their secrets. Have your textbook by your side if you can.

 Kwanzaa Celebration- Wednesday, November 30, 2022, 11:30AM-1:30PM in N201

Kwanzaa is an African American and Pan-African holiday which celebrates family, community and culture. There will be African drumming, dance, storytelling, crafts, and refreshments. We will also light the Kinara as a part of the celebration. It is a time for the entire campus to enjoy. Spread the word and make a joyful noise.

There will be a Zoom meeting  for those unable to be in person. Please register by Tuesday, November 29th if you are attending virtually and I will send you the meeting link. The event is presented by the Leadership Institute, Sociology Department, Multicultural Services, and Campus Activities Board. Mental Rest and Reset-Tuesday, December 6-Thursday, December 8, 2022, 11am-2pm (various locations)

Brought to you by Multicultural Services, Health and Wellness, BAS Program, and Health and Physical Education Program, “Mental Rest and Reset” is a 3-day event open to Bellevue College students, faculty, and staff during the week of Fall quarter final exams. Each event provides participants moments for mindfulness, rest, and activities to release stress and anxiety that could occur during exam time.

  • December 6, 2022: Coloring and Crafts in Room D106 from 11am-2pm
  • December 7, 2022: Managing Stress with Mindful Breath in Room G110 from 11am-2pm
  • December 8, 2022: Game Day in Room D106 from 11am-2pm
