Trans Resource Center fosters a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment at Bellevue College for students, staff, and faculty of all identities across the gender, sexual, and romantic spectrums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We provide relevant and comprehensive resources alongside transformative programming and events that center intersectionality, cultivate queer kinship, and empower students toward success in both their personal development and academic goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Vision<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Queer &amp; Trans Resource Center (QTRC) is a place where students can come to feel welcomed, included, and embraced. We are open Monday through Friday as a location where students can find resources and support, attend events, make friends, or simply take time to relax during their busy school day.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Our space has several computer stations, a 2SLGBTQIA+ focused library, comfy couches, beanbag chairs, blankets, arts &amp; craft supplies, board games, as well as snacks, tea, and coffee.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We offer a wide variety of events and activities throughout the year where students can come to have fun, learn, and build connections with their peers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\t\n<div\n\tclass=\"tab-pane  accordion-item\"\n\tid=\"resources-and-advocacy-content\"\n\trole=\"tabpanel\"\n\taria-labelledby=\"resources-and-advocacy-tab\"\n>\n\t<h3 class=\"accordion-header d-md-none\" id=\"resources-and-advocacy-acc-header\">\n\t\t<button class=\"accordion-button collapsed\" type=\"button\" data-bs-toggle=\"collapse\" data-bs-target=\"#resources-and-advocacy-acc-content\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"resources-and-advocacy-acc-content\">\n\t\t\tResources and Advocacy\n\t\t<\/button>\n\t<\/h3>\n\t<div id=\"resources-and-advocacy-acc-content\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse d-md-block\" aria-labelledby=\"resources-and-advocacy-acc-header\" data-bs-parent=\"#tabcordion-e39751e3-9904-489f-98ad-67f5bbb16d41\">\n\t\t<div class=\"accordion-body\">\n\t\t\t<h3 class=\"d-none d-md-block\">Resources and Advocacy<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The QTRC serves as an information hub for all things 2SLGBTQIA+, offering a wide variety of resources and educational materials to students, as well as referrals to countless other BC offices and local community partners who can support students with any needs they bring from housing and food security, to healthcare needs, to mental health support and more.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In addition to providing resources and events, we encourage and support student advocacy. Counseling is offered in multiple languages and is completely free for current Bellevue College students.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In addition to individual counseling services, they also host a weekly LGBTQIA2S+ Support Group. In Summer 2024, the LGBTQ+ Resource Center officially became a department under Multicultural Services and welcomed its first full-time professional staff member, the LGBTQ+ Program Lead.
