Brief description of some Meteorology classes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

METR 102: Intro to the Weather and Climate (with lab)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A new meteorology lab course, similar to METR 101 but with a lab component added to fulfill the requirements for a natural science lab class. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A general, non-math introduction to the study of weather, including atmospheric properties and processes that control temperature, wind, precipitation, and storm systems. Students will explore atmospheric processes by working hands-on with real-world weather and climate data in the weekly labs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

METR 101: Introduction to the Weather (non-lab)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A general, non-math introduction to the study of weather, including atmospheric properties and processes that control temperature, wind, precipitation, and storm systems. Students also discuss weather forecasting, air pollution, and climate change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note: Either METR 101 or METR 102 may be taken for credit, not both.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Meteorology 101 (non-lab) or Meteorology 102 (with lab) is offered each quarter throughout the year. The course offerings vary so students can take a lab or non-lab version of this course.
