What: BC speakers will present SHORT talks with discussion about the work that led to the 2018 Nobel Prizes in Physics, Chemistry, and Physiology or Medicine.

Presentations will include:
Frances Arnold “for the directed evolution of enzymes” and George Smith and Gregory Winter “for the phage display of peptides and antibodies”, presented by Chris Shelley.
James Allison and Tasuku Honjo “for their discovery of cancer therapy by inhibition of negative immune regulation”, presented by Reza Forough.
Arthur Ashkin “for the optical tweezers and their application to biological systems” and Gerard Mourou and Donna Strickland “for their method of generating high-intensity, ultra-short optical pulses”, presented by Trevor Gamble.
