THOMAS ALMLI has been Director of Choral Music Activities at Bellevue College since 2002 and is the current Chairman of the Music Department. In addition to directing the vocal jazz ensemble “Celebration”, Mr. Almli directs The BC Concert Chorale, teaches Music Theory, History of Jazz, History of Rock and Roll, and is active as a private voice and piano instructor.

Prior to Bellevue College, Mr. Almli was the Director of Choral Activities at Pierce College in Tacoma, WA. In the five years at Pierce College, he established highly acclaimed and award winning vocal jazz ensembles as well as concert choirs, also giving multiple IAJE and MENC performances.

Mr. Almli attended Pacific Lutheran University and Luther College for undergraduate studies, and the University of Washington for graduate school.

Mr. Almli has been involved with multiple prestigious opera companies including Dorian Opera Theater and the Seattle Opera Company. Thomas continues to perform as vocal jazz artist, as well as in opera and musical theater productions. He is a sought after clinician, adjudicator, arranger, and composer.

He has also had the pleasure to have shared the stage with such jazz greats as Bobby Shew, Jon Fedchock, Jay Leonhardt, Conrad Herwig, Brian Lynch, Dave Pietro, Robin Eubanks, Jay Thomas, and many more. Mr. Almli has had multiple opportunities to perform at Tula’s, Egan’s Ballard Jam House, The Triple Door, Jazz Alley, Benaroya Hall and many other great venues in the greater Seattle Area.

Aimee Hong’s music directing credits include: [Title of Show], Carnival, Into the Woods (Bellevue College, Sweeney Todd, The Boy Friend (Renton Civic), How I Became a Pirate (Second Story Repertory), The Wizard of Oz (St. Luke’s Theatre Company), as well as many projects with Studio East and McClure Middle School.

She is an Adjunct Music Faculty member at Bellevue College, working with the Concert Choir, Group Piano and teaching Class Voice. Aimee also teaches for The Seattle Symphony and Studio East. She received her Music Education degree from Western Washington University.
