Take private instrumental or vocal lessons for college credit! Private instrumental or vocal lessons at Bellevue College is open to all students regardless of level \u2013 beginners to advanced students are welcome. If you\u2019re a music concentration student, a future transfer student, or a Running Start student moving onto a four-year music program, do not wait to document your private instruction experience \u2013 get college credit by enrolling into MUSC 140 or 240.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note: Students pay the cost of lessons arranged with individual instructors. Tuition cost DOES NOT<\/span><\/em> cover the cost of lessons.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MUSC 140\/240 Registration Steps<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Before a permission code can be generated for MUSC 140 registration you must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Contact your private teacher<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Confirm they can work with you<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Discuss the private instructor’s lesson fee which will be paid directly to the private instructor<\/u><\/strong> (Please note: the course tuition does not cover the per lesson expense.  This is important if you are using scholarship funds for this course.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Confirm a lesson day and time for the upcoming quarter<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Once your private instructor is confirmed, complete and submit the private instruction online form<\/a> to receive an entry code.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
