His style was informed by jazz legends Fred Hersch and Billy Hart, with whom he worked extensively while studying at Western Michigan University.<\/p>\n<p>Dan can be heard on many recordings by local musicians, including Steve Treseler\u2019s \u201cCenter Song,\u201d the Vern Sielert Dektet\u2019s \u201cFrom There to Here,\u201d Bernie Jacobs\u2019 \u201cOne by One,\u201d and Phil Parisot\u2019s \u201cLingo\u201d and \u201cCreekside.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He currently performs with his own group, the Dan Kramlich Grunge Trio, as well as the Javatown Swing Orchestra, Jennifer Kienzle, and many others.<\/p>\n<p>Dan also maintains a busy teaching studio.
