Students must apply to the college and also to the program. Interviews will be held to determine the best candidates. Prerequisites must be completed by the time the program commences; you may apply if you are still&nbsp;finishing&nbsp;them, but preference may be given to those who have completed all prerequisites at the time of application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qualities considered in the acceptance process:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Understanding of nuclear medicine and the job functions of a nuclear medicine technologist<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verbal and written communication skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interview performance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>GPA in prerequisite courses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Educational attainment\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s or associate degree preferred<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Completion of prerequisites<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work\/volunteer experience\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prior health care experience preferred<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Certifications in other allied health fields is a plus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Personal statement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Completion of application requirements (reference letter from employer, 2 observations)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are my chances of being accepted?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Because this is a selective admissions program, your chances depend on the quality of the applicant pool in the year that you apply. It is impossible to pinpoint any one quality that puts accepted candidates above those who are not accepted, although the above list is in approximate order of priority. The current report on graduate achievement data, identified by program, is available on the JRCNMT website by clicking on the following link: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jrcnmt.org\/students\/program-graduate-outcomes\/\">Graduate Achievement Data.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bellevue College Programs and Professional Licensure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bellevue College Nuclear Medicine Technology Program curriculum is designed to meet the educational requirements for national certification that is required for employment in the United States.&nbsp;Nuclear Medicine Technologists (NMTs) are certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bellevue College&nbsp;Nuclear Medicine Technology&nbsp;Program curriculum is designed to meet the educational requirements for state department of health licensure that is required for employment in the state of Washington.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.doh.wa.gov\/licensespermitsandcertificates\">Washington State Department of Health<\/a>&nbsp;is the agency responsible for individual licensure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bellevue College has not determined if the&nbsp;nuclear medicine technology&nbsp;program at Bellevue College meets the state education requirements in any other state, any U.S. Territory, or the District of Columbia.
