{"id":1037,"date":"2020-11-04T14:49:30","date_gmt":"2020-11-04T22:49:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/nursing\/?page_id=1037"},"modified":"2021-03-04T17:00:44","modified_gmt":"2021-03-05T01:00:44","slug":"nar","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bellevuecollege.edu\/nursing\/nar\/","title":{"rendered":"NAR ROUTE"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-mayflower-blocks-alert alert alert-warning\">\n<h2 class=\"has-bc-dark-blue-color has-text-color wp-block-heading\">Covid-19 Responses for the Bellevue College NAC Program&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-bc-red-color has-text-color\"><strong>PLEASE NOTE<\/strong>: the information below is subject to change as COVID-19 safety guidelines change<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-bc-blue-color has-text-color\"><strong>In response to COVID-19, provisional changes have been made to the NAC program:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Until students are permitted in the lab together, NAC courses will be taught in the on-line classroom through ZOOM (remote teaching and learning)<\/strong>.<\/li><li><strong>Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes<\/strong>.<\/li><li><strong>There are&nbsp;no&nbsp;immunization application requirements<\/strong>.<\/li><li><strong>Two courses of the NAC Program are offered each quarter, and must be taken together:<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Nursing Assistant Foundations (NAC 106)<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Nursing Assistant Technical Skills (NAC 107)<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-bc-blue-color has-text-color\"><strong>GUIDELINES FOR CLINICAL EXPERIENCE:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Clinical group experiences are currently unavailable:<\/strong><br>Long-Term Care clinical partners are currently not accepting groups of students for clinical experiences due to COVID-19. This prevents BC from offering NAC 108: Nursing Assistant Practicum.&nbsp;<\/li><li><strong>The Bellevue College NAC Program will schedule Nursing Assistant Practicum (NAC 108) classes&nbsp;as soon&nbsp;as clinical partners allow groups of students into the Long-Term Care facility.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-bc-blue-color has-text-color\"><strong>NAC PROGRAM CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION&nbsp;<\/strong>is required for testing for Washington State nursing assistant certification.
