We are pleased to announce that the program&#8217;s continuing accreditation status is now effective for a maximum term of up to 10 years, beginning October 31, 2024, and terminating October 31, 2034.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-mayflower-blocks-row row\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-mayflower-blocks-column col-md\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What does the ADN program prepare you to do?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This program prepares graduates for beginning level clinical practice as Registered Nurses. Graduates are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for Registered Nurses. The license to practice nursing in the State of Washington is granted by the <a href=\"https:\/\/nursing.wa.gov\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/nursing.wa.gov\/\">Washington State Board of Nursing<\/a>. &nbsp; To be eligible to write the NCLEX (the nursing licensure exam), the commission requires you to provide information about physical\/mental conditions and any filed criminal charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Accreditation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bellevue College Associate Degree in Nursing program is accredited by the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cnea.nln.org\/about\">National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation<\/a>&nbsp;(NLN CNEA). The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncsbn.org\/nclex.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">National Council of State Boards&nbsp;of Nursing (NCSBN)<\/a>&nbsp;administers the exam.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In accordance with U.S. Department of Education Regulation 34 CFR 668.43 (a) (5) (v), the associate degree nursing program at Bellevue College meets the state education requirements for a registered nursing license in the states of Washington.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.doh.wa.gov\/LicensesPermitsandCertificates\/NursingCommission\/NurseLicensing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Washington State Department of Health<\/a>&nbsp;is the agency responsible for individual licensure.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oregon licensure requires, in addition, seven hours of pain management-related CE for licensure.\u202f&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bellevue College has not determined if the associate degree nursing program at Bellevue College meets the state education requirements in any other state, any U.S. Territory, or the District of Columbia.
