The LEA is granted by the State to a registered nurse with a lapsed or expired license after they pass the theory portion of an RN Refresher course. The LEA allows the nurse to practice as an RN for the activities of a refresher program, but is not legal for employment. The LEA is granted for a period of 180 days. Once admitted to the program, instructions on how to apply for the LEA will be provided. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">RN&#8217;s with Suspended License<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>RN&#8217;s who have a <strong><em>suspended\/revoked RN license<\/em><\/strong> will not be admitted into the program unless they have orders from the state of Washington that mandate a refresher course and must have taken NCLEX and passed.
