She teaches Oceanography and Geology courses including Geology 101 (Intro to Physical Geology), Geology 107 (Geological Catastrophes), Oceanography 101 (Intro\u00a0 to Oceanography) and Oceanography\/Environmental Science 110 (Environmental Oceanography). His academic background is in oceanography\u00a0\u2013\u00a0focusing on the chemicals produced by plankton and their effect on the ocean&#8217;s carbon and nitrogen cycles. She began her science career right here at Bellevue College as a transfer student to the University of Washington. Later, she earned a Master\u2019s of Science at the University of South Florida.
