Nancy Lane teaches Oceanography, Environmental Science, and Biology in the BC Science Division. She began her science career right here at Bellevue College as a transfer student to the University of Washington. Later, she earned a Master\u2019s of Science at the University of South Florida. Along with teaching, she has had the opportunity to do some really interesting work around the country evaluating the impact of chemicals and radionuclides on human health and the environment. She is also \u201cPath Certified\u201d in chromosome analysis, which means she has been trained to identify changes in our DNA with different genetic diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The College and Science Division have been incredibly supportive. Now I am working on new curriculum about the changes our oceans are undergoing \u2013 especially corals and ocean acidification.
